  • Nvidia leaks claim a 9GB variant of GeForce RTX 5050 is right around the corner

Nvidia leaks claim a 9GB variant of GeForce RTX 5050 is right around the corner

A new leak suggests that Nvidia may soon introduce a 9GB variant of its upcoming GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card, potentially expanding the entry-level offering in its next-generation GPU lineup. The information reportedly surfaced through industry sources and hardware leaks, indicating that the new model could feature upgraded memory while maintaining similar power requirements to previously rumored versions.

The report points to the possibility that Nvidia is preparing multiple memory configurations for the RTX 5050, including both 8GB and 9GB variants, giving consumers more flexibility depending on their performance needs and budgets.

Details Behind the Reported GPU Variant

According to recent reports, the GeForce RTX 5050 9GB model is expected to use GDDR7 memory, which would represent a notable step forward compared to earlier entry-level GPUs that relied on GDDR6 memory. GDDR7 technology is designed to provide higher bandwidth and improved efficiency, potentially helping lower-tier graphics cards deliver better performance in modern games and demanding applications.

Despite the increased memory capacity, the leak suggests that the 9GB variant will retain a 130W thermal design power (TDP) – the same power rating reported for the standard 8GB GDDR6 version of the card. This means the upgraded model may offer better memory performance without increasing overall power consumption.

Maintaining the same TDP could also allow system builders and gamers to upgrade to the newer GPU without needing higher-capacity power supplies or additional cooling solutions.

    Why the Extra Memory Matters

Memory capacity is becoming increasingly important for modern gaming and graphics workloads. Many recent titles require more video memory to handle higher-resolution textures, complex environments, and advanced visual effects.

A 9GB memory configuration could offer a slight but meaningful improvement over 8GB models, particularly in situations where games approach or exceed VRAM limits. While the difference may seem small on paper, additional VRAM can help reduce stuttering, improve texture streaming, and provide more consistent frame rates in certain scenarios.

For gamers who want to play modern titles at 1080p or even 1440p resolutions, having extra memory can help extend the usable lifespan of a GPU.

What It Means for Gamers and PC Builders

If Nvidia introduces multiple RTX 5050 configurations, it could make the entry-level graphics card segment more competitive. Budget GPUs often serve as the first upgrade for gamers building their first PC or replacing older hardware.

Offering different memory configurations allows Nvidia to address different price points and performance expectations within the same product family. The company has previously experimented with multiple memory variants in other graphics card models, allowing consumers to choose between cost and performance.

For PC builders, a 130W GPU also remains relatively easy to integrate into mainstream systems. Cards within this power range typically do not require extreme cooling solutions and can work with mid-range power supplies.

    What Could Happen Next

While the information surrounding the RTX 5050 9GB variant comes from leaks and industry sources, Nvidia has not officially confirmed the card or its specifications.

However, if the reports prove accurate, the RTX 5050 could become one of the most accessible GPUs in Nvidia’s upcoming lineup, targeting gamers who want next-generation architecture and improved memory technology without stepping into higher-priced segments.

More details about clock speeds, CUDA core counts, and official launch timelines are likely to emerge as Nvidia prepares to unveil the next wave of its graphics cards.

For now, the leak suggests that Nvidia may be exploring new ways to improve entry-level GPU performance, with memory upgrades playing a key role in the next generation of affordable gaming hardware.

Cognizant’s TriZetto Provider Solutions Confirms Data Breach Affecting Over 3.4 Million Patients

Add Techlomedia as a preferred source on Google. Preferred Source

TriZetto Provider Solutions, a healthcare technology company owned by Cognizant, has disclosed a major cybersecurity breach that exposed sensitive health information of 3,433,965 patients.

The company recently filed a data breach notification confirming that attackers gained unauthorized access to its external systems. The breach exposed personal information along with healthcare-related data of millions of individuals.

The incident is another example of the growing cybersecurity risks in the healthcare supply chain, especially when third-party technology providers handle large amounts of sensitive patient data.

The company said the initial unauthorized access happened on November 19, 2024. However, the intrusion was only discovered on November 28, 2025. This means attackers were able to remain inside the company’s systems for more than a year before the breach was detected.

According to the breach filing, cybercriminals accessed databases that contained patient names along with other personal identifiers linked to healthcare information. Such data can be valuable for identity theft and targeted scams.

The breach was reported to the Maine Attorney General’s office on February 6, 2026. The filing was submitted by legal counsel Edward Zacharias from the law firm McDermott Will & Schulte. Although the breach affects people across the United States, the filing mentions that 1,128 residents of Maine were impacted.

Given the number of affected individuals, the incident is one of the larger healthcare supply chain breaches reported in recent times.

After discovering the breach, TriZetto launched an internal investigation and began notifying affected individuals on February 6, 2026. The company is sending written notification letters to patients as part of regulatory disclosure requirements.

Because the stolen data includes personal identifiers connected with medical records, affected individuals could face risks such as medical identity theft, financial fraud, and targeted phishing attacks.

To help affected patients, the company has partnered with cybersecurity and risk management firm Kroll. The company is offering 12 months of free single-bureau credit monitoring along with identity theft protection services.

Security experts advise affected individuals to remain cautious. They recommend monitoring financial accounts, checking medical billing statements for suspicious activity, and considering a credit freeze to prevent misuse of personal information.

  • NASA shares stunning Mars images on orbiter’s 20th anniversary

NASA shares stunning Mars images on orbiter’s 20th anniversary

NASA launched the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter in August 2005 and the following year, on March 10, it entered the orbit of the red planet where it continues to operate today.

Data returned to Earth by the MRO has revealed Mars in unprecedented detail and over the years has helped scientists to find out more about the fascinating planet.

For example, during its work, the MRO has found signs that liquid water may appear seasonally on present-day Mars. Thanks to the orbiter’s ultra-sharp HiRISE camera, the discovery not only revealed details about Mars’ geology and climate, but also helped assess the planet’s potential to support microbial life.

The trusty spacecraft also gathers data on the planet’s temperatures and minerals, and can even explore beneath the surface using its radar technology.

While its scientific work is as important as it is exciting, the spacecraft is best known for the incredible imagery that it captures from its orbit about 155–196 miles (250–316 km) up.

On the 20th anniversary on Tuesday, NASA shared some of those images in a post on X:

For 20 years, our Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has searched the planet for signs of long-ago water. It has sent back photos that are not only stunning, but useful – they’ll help us when future astronauts land on Mars to explore it. Which is your favorite? pic.twitter.com/mc4wHYjqm5

    — NASA (@NASA) March 10, 2026

Below is a photo of a Mars crater spanning about 100 feet (30 meters) in diameter, surrounded by a large blast zone. The explosion that made this crater threw ejecta as far as 9.3 miles (15 km). Blue tones have been added to enhance the details.

The next image, caught by chance, shows a towering dust devil tearing across the martian surface. Captured from 185 miles (297 kilometers) above the ground, the length of the whirlwind’s shadow tells us that it was more than half a mile (800 meters) high, which is similar to the height of the United Arab Emirate’s Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.

The image below shows an area with unusual texture on the floor of Gale Crater, which is where NASA’s Curiosity rover landed in 2012. Blue tones have been added for a clearer view.

The rover is still operating there today (the MRO has even photographed it!), slowly climbing the base of Mount Sharp (Aeolis Mons), the large mountain at the center of the crater. It’s worth noting that the MRO also serves as a vital communications bridge, transmitting data from the Curiosity and Perseverance rovers back to Earth.

Again, blue tones have been added to the capture below to bring out details such as the tops of dunes and ripples. Like on Earth, many of these features change over time, with martian winds constantly blowing the sand, reshaping the landscape.

NASA will continue operating the MRO for as long as the spacecraft remains healthy and has enough fuel, with plans for it to continue into the late 2020s, and possibly beyond.

That means we can look forward to lots more incredible images from the veteran Mars orbiter.

  • Identifying the Security Advantages of Leading Crypto Exchanges Such as OKX

Identifying the Security Advantages of Leading Crypto Exchanges Such as OKX

As cryptocurrency adoption grows worldwide, security is increasingly important for crypto exchanges like OKX. For both experienced users and newcomers in the digital asset economy, finding a safe exchange platform is a top priority. Although each user may have their own preferred platform, determining the safest option relies on clear security standards.

Understanding Past Threats to Exchange Security

Amid the rise of crypto exchanges in the 2010s, security was largely overlooked. A hack of the Mt. Gox exchange in 2011 made the need for change clear, when about 25,000 Bitcoins were stolen; the event led to the platform’s collapse, losing about $450 million worth of crypto in the process. Later, more sophisticated attacks prompted both exchanges and governments to respond with regulation.

“The fight against cyber threats in the crypto industry is far from over,” Rachel Sun wrote for Forward Security. “As hackers refine their tactics, exchanges and users must stay ahead with continuous improvements in security measures and regulatory compliance. While no system is entirely foolproof, proactive risk management and a strong security culture can significantly reduce vulnerabilities.”

    The Most Secure Crypto Exchanges

When picking a safe and secure crypto exchange, people should think about how the exchange’s rules affect how it works. Following local and international laws is one of the most important things for the best crypto exchanges. This helps keep users safe in case they lose their assets or get hacked. Regulation is not solely implemented for institutions to oversee business operations, but to protect their users.

During the research process, users may wish to identify whether a crypto exchange is registered in reputable jurisdictions, maintains transparent corporate disclosures, and presents a clear compliance framework. Each of these provides insight into the legal structures under which an exchange operates and, therefore, the protections a user can expect from the platform’s use.

Different major exchanges have different rules about regulation, custody, and transparency, but they all put a lot of emphasis on security. For instance:

    • OKX focuses on multi-layered risk management, proof-of-reserves reporting, and advanced account protection tools.

    • Coinbase operates as a publicly traded U.S. company and follows SEC reporting standards, along with institutional-grade custody controls.

    • Kraken emphasizes regular proof-of-reserves verification, global regulatory registrations, and a strong security audit culture.

    • Gemini is licensed by the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) and focuses on regulatory oversight and institutional custody safeguards.

    • Binance has expanded its compliance infrastructure across multiple jurisdictions while strengthening monitoring and risk management systems.

These efforts reflect a broader industry shift toward stronger transparency, regulatory alignment, and user protection.

Exchanges that are regulated will follow anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) policies. These policies aim to stop the misuse of both physical and digital assets. These priorities may also include separating customer funds to ensure individual security. They also involve reporting obligations that require the company to be clear when funds may have been at risk.

Security Infrastructure of OKX and Other Leading Exchanges

Crypto exchanges must have robust security measures to support their users, but it is crucial to comply with regulatory requirements and legal expectations to build trust. For both experienced users and newcomers in the digital asset economy, finding a safe exchange platform is a top priority. Although each user may have their own preferred platform, determining the safest option relies on clear security standards.

Beyond cold storage and distributed key management, users should also look for multi-signature wallet systems, continuous penetration testing, and bug bounty programs set up by an exchange. Each of these security components serves to actively bolster a platform’s safety, and therefore that of the user.

Transparency Signals That Define OKX and Other Leaders

To build trust with their users, top crypto exchanges go beyond basic security measures and following regulations. Rather, many of these top platforms maintain several transparency signals that speak to broader security measures. As transparency is often a strong indicator of a platform’s overall reliability, users favor platforms that go above and beyond in this way.

Some notable transparency signals include proof of reserves audits and third-party attestations, as well as public security reports. Each of these measures provides clear and unbiased risk disclosures, ensuring that a user can navigate a platform with clarity. Users may also look at an exchange’s historical incident responses; if these are publicly reported, one may find an understanding of how potential attacks and security risks may be treated in the future.

User-Level Protections on OKX and Other Secure Exchanges

Platform security measures are certainly valuable, but user-level protections can make the difference in establishing trust. Solutions like two-factor authentication (2FA) are commonplace in online spaces today, while hardware key support, real-time login alerts, and device management controls supplement account security. There is a shared responsibility between the exchange and the user, and these kinds of protections help the user to uphold their end.

    Risk Factors Beyond Platform Security

Despite the protections put forward by leading exchanges, the nature of the crypto market can still introduce risk. Overexposure to a single platform, counterparty involvement, and even general volatility can lead to uncertainty. Diversification is an essential element of financial success, and the same principle largely applies to one’s choice of exchange when risk is involved.

Following Developments in OKX and Exchange Safety

Today’s preeminent crypto exchanges are placing an emphasis on user safety, bolstering security measures across platforms. The market itself is moving toward institutional custody partnerships, blockchain analytics for fraud protection, and other compliance solutions to elevate standards. As the industry matures, trusted exchanges will have to keep pace and constantly strengthen their security.

  • The DJI Power 2000 is down to $799, making it one of the best value power stations right now

The DJI Power 2000 is down to $799, making it one of the best value power stations right now

Portable power stations have exploded in popularity as of late, but most of the interesting ones are either too small to be genuinely useful or priced well out of reach. The DJI Power 2000 sits in a different category: 2048Wh of LFP capacity, 3000W of continuous output, and a 0-80% recharge time of 55 minutes, now down to $799. That’s a $500 drop, and it’s the kind of cut that makes this worth a serious look.

    What you’re getting

The headline number is the capacity: 2048Wh puts this comfortably in whole-home-backup territory for shorter outages, not just phone charging and laptop top-ups. The 3000W continuous output means you can run a refrigerator, a microwave, power tools, or medical equipment without worrying about tripping the unit.

The battery chemistry matters here, too. LFP (lithium iron phosphate) is slower to degrade than standard lithium-ion and considerably more stable under heavy use and high temperatures. DJI rates the Power 2000 for over 3,000 charge cycles before dropping to 80% capacity, which is the kind of longevity that justifies treating this as infrastructure rather than a gadget.

Then there’s the recharge speed. Getting from flat to 80% in 55 minutes is fast by any standard in this category. If you’re relying on this during an outage with a solar panel, or topping up at a campsite hookup, that turnaround time genuinely changes how you use the thing.

    Why it’s worth it

At $1,299, the Power 2000 was priced at the high end of a competitive market. At $799, the math shifts considerably. Comparable 2000Wh-class stations from Jackery, EcoFlow, and Bluetti typically sit between $900 and $1,100 at full price, and few of them match the LFP chemistry, recharge speed, and output ceiling simultaneously. The DJI name also brings with it a customer support and firmware ecosystem that’s more developed than some of the smaller players in this space.

Whether this is for camping, RV trips, or keeping the essentials running during a storm, this is a station that won’t feel underpowered for the job.

    The bottom line

If you’ve been waiting for a serious portable power station to drop to a reasonable price, the DJI Power 2000 at $799 is exactly that. You’re getting 2048Wh of durable LFP capacity, serious output headroom, and fast recharging at a $500 discount, which is the kind of deal that doesn’t come around often in this category.

  • Voting concludes peacefully in Nepal

    Voting concludes peacefully in Nepal

Nepal election polling station with security personnel and voters.

Kathmandu: Tens of thousands of Nepalese voted on Thursday, March 5, in the crucial parliamentary elections to elect a new prime minister, six months after violent Gen Z protests toppled the K P Sharma Oli-led coalition government.

The election is being closely watched by India, which hopes for a stable government in the politically fragile Himalayan nation to take forward the developmental partnership between the two sides.

The voting, which began at 7 am, concluded in a peaceful and orderly atmosphere at 5 pm, officials said.

Election Commissioner Janaki Kumari Tuladhar said voters who had already queued at polling centres by 5 pm were still allowed to cast their ballots. The counting will start immediately after the ballot boxes are collected.

The newly formed Rastriya Swotantra Party (RSP) led by former rapper Balendra Shah, who was also the mayor of Kathmandu, is posing a tough challenge to two traditional political parties – the Nepali Congress party and the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist).

The RSP, formed in 2022, has received significant support during the campaign, and Shah is said to be a strong candidate for prime minister. On the other hand, the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) were part of the government toppled by the Gen Z last year.

Nepali Congress president Gagan Thapa is the prime ministerial candidate of his party, whereas the CPN (UML) has projected Oli as its PM face.

Around 39 per cent of voters exercised their franchise till 3 pm, officials said.

There were some minor incidents reported in a few places, Election Commissioner Sagun Shumsher Rana was quoted as saying by The Kathmandu Post newspaper.

Nepal’s 18.9 million voters are eligible to elect 275 members of the House of Representatives. They will elect 165 HoR members through first past the post (FPTP) or direct voting system, and 110 members through proportionate voting.

Around 3,400 candidates are vying for 165 seats under direct voting, and 3,135 candidates for 110 seats through proportionate voting.

Nepal Police confirmed that apart from minor disagreements at a few locations, no serious problems had occurred.

“Some jostling is expected during elections, but no major issues have arisen. We are ensuring that the voting process remains peaceful throughout the day,” Police spokesperson Abi Narayan Kafle said.

“Voting started in all the constituencies, including the southern plains, hilly area and the mountain region at 7 am,” Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said.

“The election started in a peaceful environment across the country,” he added.

In Kathmandu, the weather was fine, the sky was clear, and people were enthusiastically queuing up to cast their votes.

Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki cast her vote from Kathmandu-5 constituency at Dhapasi on the outskirts of Kathmandu on Thursday morning.

“I have cast my vote, I am happy that people are casting their votes, participating in the general election,” she said.

Nepali Congress president Gagan Thapa cast his vote from Kathmandu-4 constituency in Maitidevi in the morning. “This election was needed to bring the Constitution back on the right track,” he said.

Thapa is contesting the election from Dhanusha-4 constituency.

RSP president Ravi Lamichhane cast his vote from the Chuchepati area on the outskirts of Kathmandu. Shah cast his vote from Gairegaun, Kathmandu. He is contesting the election from Jhapa-5.

Ousted premier Oli cast his vote from Balkot in Bhaktapur district.

The Gen Z youth, through their two-day intensified protests on September 8 and 9, ousted Prime Minister Oli, chair of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) — CPN-UML — who was heading a coalition government with the backing of Nepali Congress that enjoyed nearly two-thirds majority support.

The CPN-UML, led by ousted PM Oli, has emerged as the hardliner force. Though former premier Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda-led NCP claims to have addressed the issues raised by the Gen Z, they have not handed over the party leadership to the younger generation.

RSP and the reformed Nepali Congress are voicing the issues raised by Gen Z, while CPN-UML and Nepali Communist Party, led by ‘Prachanda’, are known as the traditional forces.

Ujyalo Nepal Party, led by Kulman Ghising, and Shram Shakti Party, led by former Dharan Mayor Harka Sampang, are also emerging forces but enjoy support in limited pockets only.

After Oli’s ouster, President Ramchandra Paudel dissolved the House of Representatives on September 12 and appointed Sushila Karki as the caretaker PM.

The major issues raised by Gen Z are anti-corruption, good governance, an end to nepotism, generational change in political leadership, etc.

Starting Wednesday, Nepal has declared a three-day holiday for the polls.

There are a total of 10,967 polling booths and 23,112 polling centres, the Election Commission data showed. As many as 65 political parties are taking part in the election.

  • Falcom Announces Dragon Slayer Project to Celebrate 45th Anniversary

Falcom Announces Dragon Slayer Project to Celebrate 45th Anniversary

Add Techlomedia as a preferred source on Google. Preferred Source

Nihon Falcom has announced a new project based on its classic Dragon Slayer franchise. The project is currently titled Dragon Slayer Project and is being developed to celebrate the company’s 45th anniversary.

The company has confirmed that the game is being developed for consoles, but it has not revealed the genre, supported platforms, or release timeline yet. More details are expected to be shared later.

The Dragon Slayer series started in 1984 with the release of the first game on the NEC PC-8801 computer. At that time, the game was described as a “new type real time role playing game.”

The original game became popular among PC players because of its unique gameplay systems. Instead of traditional combat commands, players could attack enemies simply by moving their character into them. The game also included RPG style progression where players collected experience points and items, then returned home to strengthen their character.

Another interesting part of the game was its puzzle design. Players needed specific items or magic to clear obstacles and progress further in the game.

Because of these ideas, the game was widely praised by PC users and is often considered one of the early action RPG classics.

Over the years, Falcom released several titles under the Dragon Slayer series. Some of the notable games include Xanadu, Romancia, Legacy of the Wizard, and Sorcerian. One of the most important entries was Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes. This entry later led to the creation of the The Legend of Heroes series. That series eventually evolved into the popular Trails story RPG franchise, which started with The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky.
