New Delhi: The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 commenced at 8 AM on Saturday. As per the latest trends, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has gained a significant lead over the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). However, some media reports indicate that AAP is gradually narrowing the seat gap. If AAP storms back to power, it would be interesting to see how they propose as their CM candidate. With top brass of the AAP naming Kejriwal as their CM face, however, it is important to note that the former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, is currently out on bail in connection with the liquor scam. BJP and Congress leaders are arguing that these conditions prevent Kejriwal from holding the Chief Minister’s office, signing files, or even chairing official meetings. Therefore, they claim, even if he wins, he cannot become CM.

5. Gopal Rai: Gopal Rai is a member of the political affairs committee of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and a Cabinet minister in the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government. He is the minister for employment, development, labour, general administration and irrigation.
