Bengaluru: In a recent social media activity that caught widespread attention, Rajesh Yabaji, co-founder and CEO of BlackBuck, announced the relocation of his office from Bellandur, Bengaluru. As per the BlackBuck CEO, the company had been operating from there for the past nine years, but poor road infrastructure and ever-increasing traffic problems have made life difficult for employees. Yabaji said that the average travel time for his colleagues has increased to over an hour and a half one-way. “ORR (Bellandur) has been our ‘office + home’ for the last 9 years. But it’s now very-very hard to continue here. We have decided to move out,” said in his post on social media platform X.

“Average commute for my colleagues shot up to 1.5+ hrs (one way). Roads full of potholes and dust, coupled with the lowest intent to get them rectified. Didn’t see any of this changing in the next 5 years”, Rajesh Yabaji added in his post.

Who is Rajesh Kumar Naidu Yabaji?

Rajesh Kumar Naidu Yabaji is one of the Promoters and the current Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Black buck. Talking about his educational qualifications, Rajesh Yabaji holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical and materials engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

As per the official website of the company, Yabaji was a manager at ITC Limited where he handled the technical function of ITC Limited’s foods division business prior to his experience at Black Buck. With approximately 14 years of work experience, Rajesh Kumar Naidu Yabaji has multiple international internships in Schindler India, Rio Tinto Alcan in Germany, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the US.

Notably, after a social media outrage, Rajesh Kumar Naidu Yabaj has clarified that his company is not leaving Bengaluru.
