One year following accusations of sexual assault against author Neil Gaiman, additional complaints have emerged, disclosing alarming details of Gaiman’s prolonged mistreatment of women in a familial setting. A report from Vulture has gathered allegations from eight different women, including Scarlett Pavlovich, who previously babysat Gaiman’s child.
Who Is Niel Gaiman?
Neil Richard MacKinnon Gaiman is a British writer known for his short stories, novels, comics, graphic novels, audio plays, and screenplays. I said ‘No’: Pavlovich’s Statement
In the first occasion she met Neil Gaiman, and that meeting resulted in a non-consensual sexual incident after Gaiman prompted her to bathe in their vintage garden tub and subsequently entered with her.
In that meeting, Gaiman requested that she refer to him as ‘master’. “I responded with ‘no.'” I mentioned, “I’m not confident with my body,'”Pavlovich stated. She continues to state that Gaiman said, “It’s fine — it’s just me. Just relax. Just have a chat.”
She recounted that he inserted his fingers into her private parts before trying to do the same with his penis, despite her saying no. Pavlovich remembered that as Gaiman was reaching climax, he asked if he could ejaculate on a specific area of her body, which she refused. She asserts he went ahead and did it anyway.
Incorrect recollections: Gaiman’s Statement
After the initial report emerged in 2024, the author and his team firmly refuted all the claims, even though it caused a hindrance to the production of Good Omens. Gaiman responded to the accounts of Kendra Stout and Pavlovich, asserting his defense in each instance. He stated that his connection with Kendra was never illegal and mentioned that Pavlovich had a health condition causing her to have false memories.
Non-Disclosure Agreement
Pavlovich had a close relationship with Gaiman’s former spouse Amanda Palmer and consented to watch their child when she was not around. Pavlovich mentioned she trusted his ex-wife and reported to the police, but the case stalled since neither Palmer nor Gaiman made a statement. She asserts that she subsequently signed a non-disclosure agreement concerning the supposed sexual assault, in which he compensated her a total of $9,200 across nine months.
Another Rape Case Against Gaiman
The report emphasizes that the majority of the women he is accused of abusing were in their 20s, with the youngest being 18. He was in his forties or beyond. Another woman, Kendra Stout, discloses that the author “didn’t believe in foreplay or lubrication,” and participated in BDSM activities despite “there being no conversation about ‘safe words’ or ‘aftercare’ or ‘limits.'”
