New Delhi: Lady don Zoya Khan has finally been caught by a team of the Special Cell. The police and other agencies had been trying for several years to gather evidence against Khan, but every time, she succeeded in ditching the officials. Zoya Khan is the third wife of Delhi’s notorious gangster Hashim Baba and was handling his entire gang. Currently, the gangster is lodged in Tihar Jail.
It was Zoya Khan who was suspected of running Hashim Baba’s gang and had an equal share in every illegal activity. The investigating agencies knew that she was involved in several businesses of the gang. However, no concrete evidence could be found until now. This time, the team of the Special Cell caught the lady in a drug case. She was arrested from the Welcome area of North East Delhi with 270 grams of heroin, which is worth about Rs 1 crore in the international market.
Zoya was separated with her first husband in 2014 after which she came close to gangster Hashim Baba. Both were neighbours and residents of North East Delhi. Gradually, this closeness grew and then both got married in the year 2017. After her marriage, Zoya entirely entered the world of crime.
As per the Delhi Police, Zoya used to live a luxurious lifestyle and she liked to attend the page-3 parties. Her social media accounts testify this. But behind the scenes, she was the mastermind of the gang.
She used to visit the jail regularly to meet Hashim Baba, but these meetings were not personal but for running the gang. Baba was training her through gestures, and Zoya was in constant touch with the absconding criminals and helpers of the gang outside the jail.
The Special Cell team trapped Zoya after getting inputs on Wednesday. It was reported that she was on a move to supply drugs. A trap was laid and the lady gangster was caught red-handed.
Sources in the Special Cell stated that the drug was ordered from Muzaffarnagar and was to be supplied further.
Not only this, the police suspect that Zoya had also helped in providing shelter to the shooters in the Nadir Shah murder case. Now the agencies are engaged in gathering evidence of this.
Zoya’s mother has gone to jail in a sex racket case in 2024, she is now out on bail. Her father was also a notorious man and has been involved in a drug supply racket.
