Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: Congress party workers staged a protest in Bihar after early trends showed a massive lead for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Voting trends at 09.30am showed the NDA leading in 152 seats and the Mahagathbandhan in 117. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also crossed the 50-mark, leading in 77 seats. The postal ballots are being counted currently.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is the chief ministerial candidate of the Mahagathbandhan, is leading in Raghopur assembly. Singer Maithili Thakur, who is making her poll debut on a BJP ticket, is leading in Alinagar.

Folk singer and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Maithili Thakur, who is contesting her first election, is leading in the Alinagar constituency, early trends show. The poll debutant joined the BJP a month before the assembly elections to “serve Bihar”.
