The announcement was made via the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Thane City Police on Monday, along with a video showcasing the heartfelt moments of the phone distribution event.
The recovered phones had been reported missing by various citizens across the city. Through the use of advanced technical tools and cyber-tracking methods, the police were able to locate the devices and bring them back from different locations.
An X post shared by the Thane Municipal Corporation stated,” वर्तक नगर पोलिसांकडून नागरिकांचे गहाळ झालेले १०,५०,०००/- रु. किंमतीचे ३५ मोबाईल फोनचा तांत्रिक कौशल्याने शोध घेऊन नागरीकांना सुपूर्द केल्याची उल्लेखनीय कामगीरी.”
