US Democrats on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on Thursday (18th December) released a fresh batch of 68 photos from Epstein’s estate, mounting pressure on the Trump administration to release federal files relating to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The photos are a part of a larger cache of 95,000 images from the estate, which were obtained by Congress. Releasing the photos, the Committee Democrats said that the photographs “were selected to provide the public with transparency into a representative sample of the photos” and to “provide insights into Epstein’s network and his extremely disturbing activities.”

We will continue releasing photographs and documents to provide transparency for the American people. It’s time for the Department of Justice to release the files. pic.twitter.com/ZGAvxVLCUq
Among the released batch of photos are the pictures of high-profile public figures like billionaire and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, political philosopher Noam Chomsky, and filmmaker Woody Allen. In addition to that, the batch includes multiple photos of passports and identity documents from different countries, including Ukraine and Russia, with redacted personal details.
Some of the faces in the pictures were obscured to protect identities. The pictures included shots of quotes from Vladimir Nabokov’s “Lolita,” a novel about a man’s sexual obsession with a child, written on what appear to be women’s bodies. The photos also include screenshots of text messages of an interaction discussing the recruitment of young women for someone identified as “J” with a price of $1,000 each, as mentioned in the messages. “I have a friend scout she sent me some girls today. But she asks 1000$ per girl. I will send u girls now. Maybe someone will be good for J?” the messages read.

Last week, the Democrats released 19 photos from the collection, including photos of US President Donald Trump. In September this year, a sexually suggestive letter allegedly written by Trump to Epstein was released by the Committee. The Committee members confirmed that they received a copy of a birthday book which contains a letter bearing Donald Trump’s signature. Donald Trump denied writing the letter and filed a libel lawsuit against the publisher of the Wall Street Journal and reporters who wrote a story about a collection of birthday letters gifted to Epstein in 2003, including Trump’s alleged letter.
The images were released a day before the official deadline for the US Justice Department to release the unclassified files related to its investigation into Epstein’s estate. Last month, Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act mandating the US Justice Department to disclose Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell case files within a 30-day period, which ends on Friday (19th December).
The Epstein files, which are sealed investigative records relating to the investigation into Epstein’s criminal activities, have invoked the curiosity of Americans. After Trump came to power at the beginning of the year, Attorney General Bondi indicated that all the Epstein documents, including a “client list” of influential individuals who were part of Epstein’s sex trafficking ring, would be made public. However, the files have not been released by the Trump administration, even after almost a year of Trump’s swearing in as the US President.
