Manmohan Singh’s daughter, Amrit Singh, is a prominent human rights lawyer and a law professor at Stanford Law School. She holds degrees from Yale Law School, Oxford University, and Cambridge University. Throughout her career, Amrit has advocated for global human rights issues and was also the founding executive director of the Rule of Law Impact Lab.
Daman Singh, the daughter of Manmohan Singh, is a graduate of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. Like her mother, Gursharan Kaur, Daman is a professional writer and has authored three notable books: The Last Frontier: People and Forests in Mizoram, The Sacred Grove, and Nine by Nine. Additionally, she wrote the biography of her parents, Strictly Personal.
Speaking of her personal life, Daman Singh is married to Ashok Patnaik, an IPS officer from the 1983 batch. Ashok has also served as the CEO of India’s National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID). The couple has a son named Rohan.
