Local train services between Vadala Road and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) were suspended on Monday morning due to severe waterlogging at Masjid station, Central Railway (CR) authorities confirmed. The disruption began at approximately 10:25 AM.

A CR spokesperson stated that while services on the main line’s up and down slow local corridors continue to operate, fast corridor services have been significantly impacted. “Several points on the up and down fast lines have been clamped as a precaution,” the spokesperson said. Fast trains are currently operating on the A marker with extreme caution.

In addition to Masjid station, waterlogging was also reported in the CSMT yard. As a result, train operations from platforms 5, 6, 7, and 10 to 18 at CSMT have been affected. Railway officials are working to restore normalcy and are monitoring the situation closely. However, a WR spokesperson claimed that suburban services are running normally. Commuters are advised to check for live updates before planning their journey.

Harbour Line services have been restored with restricted speeds as of now. Efforts are on way to restore at normal speed.
