Shivam met with a severe accident when the bike he was riding collided with a speeding car, crushing his leg bones. He was rushed to a hospital where a major surgery was performed to reconnect the bones, with a rod inserted and a brace placed over the leg for support. The total cost for the surgery and treatment was estimated to be between 5 to 6 lakh Rs at a hospital in Bengaluru. However, Shivam and his family were later informed about the Madhusudan Sai Medical and Research Institute Center. Initially, Shivam and his family didn’t believe it, but when they visited the hospital and received treatment, they were filled with gratitude toward God.

Radha, the 40-year-old wife of Shivam, always tries to hide her tears whenever she talks about the incident. Despite that, her voice trembles as she blesses the doctors and hospital staff.

Shivam’s surgery was successfully performed, and his leg is healing. He is currently walking with the help of a walker, but he hopes to soon walk without it. What makes him and his family happy is that for the past two months, he hasn’t spent a single rupee on his treatment, and this joy has turned into blessing.

Notably, at Madhusudan Sai Medical And Research Institute Center, not only is treatment free, but doctors from around the world also volunteer their services without charge.

Where It Is Located?

Located near Chikkaballapur in Bengaluru, the Shri Madhusudan Sai Medical and Research Institute Center provides free treatment. The doctors here try to treat patients who come here with any illness. Not only that, medicines are also provided here free of cost.

As per the registration book, around 1,000 to 1,300 patients come for treatment every day. The hospital currently has 360 beds, with a new building under construction to accommodate 600 beds, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Doctors Serve For Free

At the centre, doctors also treat patients for free and don’t charge for their services. 83-year-old doctor Asha Damodaran has been treating diabetic here at this hospital for over 10 years.

Dr. Ram Mohan, a former military doctor who took voluntary retirement after his wife’s passing to serve at this hospital.

Additionally, Dr. C.S. Hiremath, a senior consultant and chief surgeon at the hospital, is a member of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons. He treats around 1,200 heart patients every year.

The hospital also provides incubation facilities for premature babies.

Free Medicines

The centre also provides free-of-cost medicine to patients. Not only generic medicines but also branded and company medicines used during treatment are given to patients at no cost.

Free Medical Education

Medical education is often considered expensive, but Shri Madhusudan Sai Institute is the only institution in the country that provides free medical education to 100 medical students.

These students, who come from poor backgrounds, are offered free education at this college. Admission is granted only after passing the NEET UG exam. 50 seats will be reserved for government quota students, while 50 seats will be filled through management and private quotas. The condition is that students, after completing their MBBS, must serve at the hospital for 5 years.
