‘Made in India’ missiles: In recent years, India has strengthened and enhanced its defence capabilities tremendously. From upgrading the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile to inducting new lethal missiles into the fleet, the country is continuously strengthening its firepower. India has also established itself as a leading weapon exporter, with several countries buying ‘Made in India’ defence equipment. The world has already witnessed the missile and weapon prowess of the country during Operation Sindoor. Let us introduce you to three of India’s missiles, each with exceptionally accurate strike capabilities.

Agni-V

It is the most advanced intercontinental ballistic missile of India. Agni-V has a range of 5,000–5,500 kmph. Its can reach approx 24,000 kmph, giving it an extra edge over enemy’s defence systems. In recent months, the missile was powered by three-stage solid propellant, allowing it to reach any part of China.

Agni-V provides India with strategic deterrence and China’s major cities, Beijing and Shanghai are within its range. not only that the lethal missile also cover every corner of Pakistan.

BrahMos

BrahMos missile is India’s pride and there is no doubt about it. The joint Indo-Russian project is the world’s fastest supersonic cruise missile. It has a range of 450 km to 1,500 km. The missile’s speed ranges from Mach 2.8 to Mach 3 (3,700 kmph).

The best part of BrahMos is it can be launched from ships, submarines, aircraft, and even land. Its accuracy is so precise that it can destroy any target without getting detected by enemy’s radar. Its air-to-air version can also be launched from the Su-30 MKI.

Pralay

It is a quasi-ballistic tactical missile which is designed for short-range precision strikes. It is capable of destroying target under 150 to 500 km range. Pralay can touch a speed of Mach 5 (approx 6000 kmph), evading radars and directly hitting its target.

Its unique feature is its ability to carry a nuclear warhead. Yes, you read that right, Pralay missile can carry a nuclear warhead.

Notably, these missiles were designed and developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation. Recent developments in the defence sector has stood india among the top five countries in the world in missile technology.
