Google is expected to launch its next Pixel A-series device soon, and recent leaks have already revealed quite a bit about the affordable phone. The Pixel 10a is said to bring minimal design changes and could reuse several components from its predecessor. While that may dampen expectations for those hoping for a bigger upgrade, a new leak gives fans something to look forward to.

According to a recent post from tipster Arsène Lupin on X, Google could unveil the Pixel 10a on February 17. Leaked retail listings suggest that the device may come in two storage configurations: 128GB and 256GB. Google will reportedly offer the base model in four colors, namely Obsidian, Berry, Lavender, and Fog, while the higher-end variant may only get a single Obsidian colorway. But that’s not the most exciting part.

The leak also indicates that the Pixel 10a could launch at a lower price than its predecessor, with the base model retailing for around €500 and the 256GB variant priced at roughly €600. Official cases for the device are expected to retail for €20.

For comparison, Google launched the Pixel 9a in Europe at €549 for the 128GB model and €649 for the 256GB variant. The rumored price drop appears to be a way for Google to make the Pixel 10a appear more attractive to buyers despite its minimal upgrades.

Carryover components could explain the price drop

Recent reports have revealed that the Pixel 10a could retain the same 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display as the 9a and reuse the 48MP main, 13MP ultrawide, and 13MP front-facing cameras. It is also expected to pack the same Google Tensor G4 chip and 5,100mAh battery.

With minimal changes over its predecessor, the Pixel 10a seems to be aiming to deliver a familiar experience at a more enticing price. For those who don’t need flashy upgrades, it could hit the sweet spot.
