Heatwave: Many cities in India and Pakistan are currently grappling with intense heat. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that from April 14 to 18, temperatures in several parts of the country could be 8 degrees Celsius higher than normal. In the Balochistan province, maximum temperatures could reach up to 49 degrees Celsius. Temperatures reaching 50 degrees could pose a risk to human life.

Heat waves are occurring early in India and Pakistan, and people are suffering from the scorching heat. The weather department has warned people in some parts of the country to prepare for hotter than normal days. In Delhi, the temperature has crossed 40 degrees three times this month, which is 5 degrees higher than normal. According to the weather department, on Monday, April 14 the maximum temperature in some parts of Rajasthan reached 44 degrees.

Typically, heat waves occur in both countries in May and June, but this year, the heat wave season has arrived prematurely and is expected to persist for a long time.

According to experts, by 2050, temperatures in India will surpass human capacity. They state that thousands of people have died due to extreme heat in India and Pakistan in recent decades. Climate experts have warned that by 2050, temperatures in India will exceed the capabilities of the human body. Pregnant women and unborn children are at the greatest risk from heatwaves. The sudden rise in heat leads to complications in pregnancy and premature births.

In the summers, 80% of babies are born prematurely with respiratory problems due to the weather. We also see an increase in high blood pressure during pregnancy, which can lead to preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication that involves high blood pressure and signs of organ damage. It can occur during pregnancy or after giving birth.
