Of the total 39 Million concurrent users, over 12 million were actively playing games According to SteamDB, Steam hit the milestone at 13:00 UTC on December 8. The milestone shows the growing user base and an ever-increasing demand for PC gaming.
The milestone can be attributed to recent major game releases such as Marvel Rivals and Path of Exile 2. These games have a massive fan base and are driving millions of players to the platform.
Counter-Strike remains the most popular game on the steam in past 24 hours followed by Data 2, Parth of Exile 2m and Marvel Rivals.
Steam continues to attract players from around the globe and it should certainly hit the 40 million concurrent users milestone soon. Steam remains a cornerstone of PC gaming. This is the reason most developers and publishers choose Steam to distribute their game.
