SSC Exam Protest 2025: Thousands of SSC aspirants and prominent educators from across India have taken to the streets and social media, protesting against what they call “gross mismanagement” by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in recent recruitment exams. Responding to the call for a “Delhi Chalo” protest, students and teachers gathered in large numbers today at major protest sites in the capital, including Jantar Mantar and the CGO Complex.
The protests, which started with individual complaints online, have now transformed into a nationwide movement. Trending hashtags like #SSCMisManagement, #JusticeForAspirants, and #SSCReforms are being used to highlight exam-related issues such as last-minute cancellations, technical failures, and poor treatment of candidates at test centres.
Several candidates shared their ordeal of spending money on travel and accommodation, only to find their exams cancelled upon arrival without any prior notification. Many also allege severe technical glitches during the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 exam, which is currently underway (July 24–August 1, 2025). Protesters allege that the recent change in exam vendors by the SSC is at the core of these problems, accusing the new agency of being unfit for large-scale exams.
The situation worsened after visuals surfaced online showing police action, including alleged lathi charges on protesting students. Educators like Neetu Mam, Rakesh sir, Aditya sir, Abhinay sir and other coaching faculty have come out in strong support, urging the government to step in and take immediate corrective steps.
Students are particularly anxious about the upcoming SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam, scheduled from August 13 to August 30, 2025, fearing a repeat of recent failures.
MP Chandrashekhar Azad posted on X, “I have written a letter to the Chairman of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) highlighting serious concerns over irregularities in SSC examinations, negligence by private agencies, and the safety of candidates.”
SSC aspirants and educators are demanding a high-level inquiry into SSC’s functioning, immediate vendor review, and reforms to ensure fair, transparent, and glitch-free recruitment processes going forward.
