Meghalaya honeymoon murder: Sonam Raghuvanshi’s brother meets Raja’s mother, says, ‘My sister has pleaded not guilty… we will fight case against…’

Amid growing uproar against Sonam Raghuvanshi, her brother Govind has given a shocking statement. Meanwhile, new details are emerging in the murder of Indore’s Raja Raghuvanshi, whose decomposed body was recovered from a gorge in Meghalaya on June 2. Raja’s wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, and her alleged boyfriend, Raj Kushwaha, are suspected to be the masterminds behind his killing, with a few others also involved.

Sonam’s brother Govind on Wednesday met an inconsolable mother of Raja Raghuvanshi and expressed his anger towards her sister. After Sonam’s brother Govind met her, Raja Raghuvanshi’s mother, Uma Raghuvanshi, said, “…Govind said that Sonam should be hanged. He is pained for Raja, not Sonam…Govind is not at fault.”

She also said, “I asked Govind if he met Sonam. He said that he met her for three minutes. I asked him why he did not hit her? He said that he did not get a chance as there was media and Police…”

After meeting Uma, Govind also said that his family has severed all ties with Sonam. “Sonam has not considered herself guilty. There has been no contact…We have severed all ties with her…We will fight on behalf of Raja (Raghuvanshi)..,” he said while struggling to get in his car.

Meanwhile, SP East Khasi Hills, Vivek Syiem said, “Investigation is going on, we have to confirm a lot of things. There is evidence against (Sonam Raghuvanshi), of her involvement in the murder. But, things will be clearer after the interrogation…”
