Patna: What comes as a shocker to the Mahagathbandhan, as senior Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad resigned from the party’s primary membership on Tuesday. Ahmad was an ex-Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs in the UPA government.
The senior party leader has sent his resignation to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

On his resignation from the grand old party, Ahmed said, “I have mentioned that I am resigning with a heavy heart because of differences with my fellow party leaders. I will continue to support the party’s policies and principles. I have just resigned from the primary membership…”

This comes an hour after the culmination of the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections.
Exit Polls Results
As the voting of the second and the final phase ended results of the exit polls started showing trend. Most of the exit polls indicated a sweeping victory for the NDA alliance.
As per Chanakya, NDA is expected to get 186 seats, RJD could win 50 seats, and others getting 7.
Matrix-IANS exit polls predicted 147-167 seats for the NDA, the Grand Alliance may get 70 to 90 seats.
As per People’s Pulse exit polls, NDA is expected to get 133-159 seats, the India bloc could get 75-101 seats while 2 to 13 seats may go to others.
POLSTRAT exit polls estimate that the NDA will secure between 133 and 148 seats, the Grand Alliance will obtain between 87 and 102 seats, and other parties will receive between 3 and 5 seats.
Chanakya Strategies exit polls predict 130-138 seats for the saffron alliance, 100-108 seats for Mahagathbandhan, others may win 3-5 seats.
The results for the Bihar Assembly elections will be announced on November 14th.
