School CLOSED across India: October comes with several major holidays which clearly means that kids don’t have to go to school on these national holidays. The month is full of national holidays like – Diwali, Chhath, Bhai Dooj with some states also have different holiday schedule. Here is the list pan-India and state-wise holidays when education institution will remain shut.
School Closed Across India
Schools will remain closed on Diwali with a six-day holiday. The school closures starts from Dhanteras (October 18) and ending on Bhai Dooj (October 23).
This six-day shutdown will cover major festivals such as – Dhanteras, Chhoti Diwali, Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Bhai Dooj.
Bihar
Bihar is gearing up for the assembly elections and political activities in the state has intensified. The voting will take place in two phase – on November 6 and 11. Here schools will be shut on Diwali, Chhath Puja, giving students an extended break.
