Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Former RTO constable Saurabh Sharma, his aides Chetan Singh Gaur and Sharad Jaiswal, arrested in connection with disproportionate assets have revealed the names of their bosses engaged in the corrupt deeds, said sources here on Friday.
The trio was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on February 11 and was presented before the Special Court which granted their six-day custody.
In the last 72 hours of their interrogation, Sharma and his two aides revealed the names of their alleged handlers, including government officials, politicians, and other influential individuals, said sources. The ED is now verifying the statements of the trio with their ‘call detail record ’.
After establishing the connections, the agency is going to summon those linked to the trio. The agency has come across many prominent names in the CDR and it is now working on establishing their connections with the trio in the wrongdoings.
Meanwhile, the Income-Tax officials are also gearing up to question the three accused. The officials had earlier seized a car belonging to Chetan Singh Gaur in which 52 kg of gold bars and Rs 11 crore in cash was recovered. The officials are looking into the source of the gold and the cash.
