Samsung has launched the Galaxy F16 5G in India, adding another affordable 5G phone to its lineup. It comes with a smooth AMOLED display, a big battery, and long-term software support. After the Galaxy F06 5G, this is another budget-friendly option with good performance and 5G connectivity.
The Galaxy F16 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and better visuals. It has an Infinity-U notch for the selfie camera. The Galaxy F16 5G runs on One UI 6.0 based on Android 14 and will get 6 years of security updates and 6 OS upgrades.
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which is built on a 6nm process for better efficiency. It has two Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz. The Mali-G57 MC2 GPU handles graphics for gaming and videos. It comes with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable up to 1.5TB via microSD
The Galaxy F16 5G has a triple-camera setup on the back. It includes 50MP main camera (f/1.8) with autofocus, 5MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.2), and 2MP macro camera (f/2.2. It also has 13MP front camera (f/2.0) for selfies and video calls.
Connectivity options are 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and NFC. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It also has USB Type-C audio and bottom-ported speakers for better sound.
The phone packs a 5000mAh battery, which should last a full day easily. It supports 25W fast charging, but you will need to buy a charger separately.
The Samsung Galaxy F16 5G comes in Bling Black, Vibing Blue, and Glam Green colors. The back of the phone has a Ripple Glow finish. The phone is 7.9mm thin and weighs 192g.
The 4GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 11,499 (including bank offers).
The phone will be available from March 13th at 12 noon on Samsung.com, retail stores, and online platforms.
