New Delhi: On Friday, 19 December 2025, the last day of the winter session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi met in the Parliament building. Other MPs were also present during this meeting. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla held a meeting with party leaders and Lok Sabha MPs in his chamber in the Parliament building after the conclusion of the winter session.
During the conversation, members urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to consider their demand for a dedicated hall in the new Parliament building. In response, a senior minister commented that a similar facility existed in the old Parliament building, but it was rarely used. Members also told the Prime Minister that the session had been quite productive, adding that it could have been extended further.

It was also said in a lighthearted manner that the session was short because the opposition was constantly engaged in protests, to which the Prime Minister jokingly replied that he did not want to strain their voices. The Prime Minister also appreciated the contributions of members like N.K. Premachandran, and said that they always come fully prepared for discussions. Priyanka Gandhi’s parliamentary constituency, Wayanad, was also discussed during this meeting. During this time, PM Modi was seen laughing heartily at something Priyanka said.
