Delhi CM’s name: The suspense over the name of the chief minister of Delhi finally ended on Wednesday with the Bharatiya Janata Party putting a stamp on Rekha Gupta after a series of meetings.
The party formed the government in Delhi after defeating the Aam Aadmi Party in the recent assembly elections, securing 48 out of 70 seats. The oath-taking ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 20 at 4:30 pm Ramilila Maidan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states, NDA leaders, Union Ministers, and other prominent figures will attend the ceremony, reports said.
A key meeting took place at the BJP headquarters on Monday regarding preparations for Delhi’s new government’s oath-taking ceremony. The meeting, attended by BJP’s National General Secretary Vinod Tawde and Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, finalised the ceremony’s arrangements.
