Meta has finally launched its Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses in India. These smart glasses are developed in partnership with EssilorLuxottica in INDIA and were first announced in 2023. Now, Indian users can experience the blend of stylish eyewear with powerful smart features.
The glasses come with Meta AI built in. You can simply use your voice to control music, ask for information, take photos or videos, and even manage your calls. The goal is to give you a truly hands-free experience.
These smart glasses come with a 12MP camera for better photos and videos. You can capture moments from your own point of view and share them using voice commands. They also include built-in speakers and microphones. You can listen to music or podcasts and make calls without needing your phone. Another cool feature is the ability to livestream directly to Facebook or Instagram, and you can even view real-time comments during the stream.
The glasses are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 platform, which means faster performance. They come with a sleek charging case that offers up to 36 hours of battery life. The glasses are also water-resistant (IPX4) and have a better touchpad for controls.
You can already make calls and send messages through WhatsApp, Messenger, and your phone’s native messaging apps. Meta is planning to roll out even more features soon. You will be able to send and receive Instagram DMs, photos, audio calls, and video calls directly from the glasses. Support for music apps like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Shazam is also coming.
The Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses start at Rs. 29,900 and go up to Rs. 35,700, depending on the model and finish. You can choose between styles like the Wayfarer in shiny or matte black, and Skyler in Shiny Chalky Grey.
Pre-orders are live now on Ray-Ban.com, and the glasses will be available from May 19, both online and at leading optical and sunglass stores across India.
