The wife of a government officer received Rs. 37.54 lakh in 2 years from OrionPro Solutions and Treegen Software Limited without being an employee
Rajasthan: A bizarre incident has come to light in which the wife of an officer in Rajasthan has allegedly received Rs. 37.54 lakh from two private companies in just two years. All this happened while she was reportedly presented as an employee of the two firms without visiting any of their offices.
This case was reported when a complainant went ahead and filed a petition in the High Court of Rajasthan. As a result, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) started with its initial inquiry in the first week of July. The two companies involved in the matter are OrionPro Solutions and Treegen Software Limited.
Who is involved in the matter?
According to the reports, the Joint Director in the Department of Information Technology at RajComp Info Services, named Pradyuman Dixit, along with his wife, Poonam Dixit, are the ones involved in the matter. The former had received multiple illegal amounts through his wife.
Poonam Dixit received a salary as a false employee in two different private firms, which received government tenders, named OrionPro Solutions and Treegen Software Limited.
It’s alleged that Pradyuman Dixit helped in the passing of a tender so that his wife could get employed to receive fake salaries.
What are the transactions?
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) mentioned that the two companies made transactions of almost Rs. 37,54,405 in five different bank accounts of Pradyuman’s wife, Poonam Dixit. This all happened between January 2019 and September 2020.
What’s happening in the investigation?
A complainant filed a petition in the High Court of Rajasthan to highlight this matter when the court acted, and the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) started conducting an investigation.
It allegedly revealed that Pradyuman was approving the attendance of his wife all this while to receive the payment of Rs. 37.54 lakh illegally from the two companies, OrionPro Solutions and Treegen Software Limited.
