Delhi Weather Forecast: Residents of Delhi and adjoining NCR woke up to a colder and foggy morning on Tuesday with the deteriorated air quality. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the temperature of the national capital will dip to 9 degrees Celsius with moderate fog all across the city today. The daytime temperature will hover near 24 degrees Celsius and the minimum will dip to 9 degrees Celsius.
Delhi Weather: What Did IMD Say?
According to the weather department, moderate fog is likely to blanket the national capital till November 26. “Shallow to Moderate fog during the morning hours of 24-25th November 2025. Shallow fog during morning hours of 26th November 2025 and shallow to moderate fog during morning hours thereafter,” the IMD stated.
Delhi Weather: IMD Forecast For This Week
The IMD stated that Delhi and the adjoining National Capital Region (NCR) will remain foggy till Sunday. The minimum temperature is expected to drop to 9 degrees Celsius.
It had already been stated that there would be a sharp temperature drop starting Monday. The nighttime temperatures are expected to slip from 12°C to around 10°C, and further fall to 8 to 9°C by November 25.
Haryana meteorologist Dr Madan Khichad stated that a mild western disturbance was detected and due to its impact, rain is expected in NCR (Haryana) from November 26th to 28th. Cold is expected to intensify in Delhi-NCR after the rainfall.
Delhi Air Quality: How Is The Air Quality In Delhi-NCR
Delhi-NCR woke up to toxic smog as air quality on Tuesday remained on the verge of the Severe category. Anand Vihar recorded 380 AQI, at ITO the AQI was 380, at AIIMS the AQI stood at 323, at India Gate it was 328.
However, one of the hotspots, And Vihar, recorded AQI of 402, as per Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Authorities have requested people to stay indoors and not go outside unless it’s necessary. They urged people to wear masks to minimise exposure to the hazardous air.
