Along with this, widespread fog is expected over the Gangetic plains, and cold wave to cold day conditions are likely in many parts of the northern, central, eastern, and southern states. According to the IMD, light to moderate rain and snowfall are likely at several places in this region until December 23. During this period, some places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may also experience rain and snowfall, although the extent is expected to be relatively limited.

According to the latest forecast from the Meteorological Department, heavy rain and snowfall are expected in the hilly states during the next 24 hours, while dense to very dense fog and cold day conditions may persist in many areas of North India and the eastern states. Snowstorms In North
The Meteorological Department has stated that heavy rain and snowfall may occur at some places in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and northeastern Himachal Pradesh during the next 24 hours. There is also a possibility of snowstorms in these areas. During this time, strong winds may blow at a speed of 50 to 60 km per hour, gusting up to 70 km per hour.
A warning has been issued for thunderstorms and lightning in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
