Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): The Bhartiya Janta Party leaders came in support of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat after Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi accused him of ‘treason’.
Speaking to media on Friday, Madhya Pradesh Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma called Rahul Gandhi a “mentally unstable” person.
“Unko mansik roog hai. Rahul Gandhi ko mansik ilaaj ke liye bhejna chahye. Unhone Mohan Bhagwat ji—jinhone rashtriya nirman kiya hai, unke liye apshabd ke diya,” said Karan Singh Verma.
(Rahul Gandhi is mentally challenged. He needs treatment at a mental hospital. He accused Mohan Bhagwat jii—the builder of our nation.)
The controversy started a few days ago when RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, during a public address, said, “India got true independence when Ram Mandir was built in Ayodhya in 2023.”
Reacting to Bhagwat’s statement, Rahul Gandhi said, “It’s sheer nonsense and treason. Mohan Bhagwat would have been arrested and tried by now had he been in some other country.”
This statement by the Amethi MP and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did not go well with Madhya Pradesh Revenue Minister Karan Singh Verma, and he called the former should get treated himself in a mental asylum.
Notably, Verma was speaking to media in Sehore. He accompanied Union Minister Virendra Kumar at an event here. The Union Minister inaugurated the newly constructed administrative and academic block, hostel block, and studio apartment of the National Mental Health Rehabilitation Institute, Sehore.
