VIDEO: Pune Dog Walker Beats Golden Retriever With Stick, Strangles With Foot, Caught Laughing On CCTV |
In yet another heartbreaking incident of animal cruelty in Pune, a Golden Retriever was cruelly mistreated by its dog walker inside a lift in Kharadi.
The incident was caught on CCTV in the lift and was posted by Street Dogs Of Bombay on Instagram.
As per the information shared by the page, the incident is from Panchshil Society in Kharadi and took place on Thursday, July 3.
In the video, one can see the dog walker hitting the dog with a stick and keeping his feet on its neck. What’s even more disturbing is that he laughed while doing it.
“That’s not just cruelty, that’s sadism,” wrote Street Dogs Of Bombay.
The page further shared in the comment section that, so far, the pet dog’s family has been informed, and the culprit is currently absconding, according to the latest update.
In the comment section, people expressed shock and saught action. One wrote, “Poor kid! The way he dragged him out! 😣 Pet parents please keep taking surprise visits on your walkers/caretakers/groomers.. please🙏🏼🙏🏼 I hope this man is punished for his actions!”
“Paw parents please be very mindful and careful whom you are trusting and handling your paw babies, please take out a little bit of time from your busy schedule or ask your known family members or friends or whom the dog is familiar with to take them to walk on behalf of u!” wrote another.
The authorities are working on taking appropriate action against the dog walker.
This comes days after a girl in Pune’s Baner area assaulted a pet cat. In the video, she was seen repeatedly striking the cat on the floor.
Pitbull attack
While a few days ago, a man was violently attacked by a Pitbull. As he screamed for help at the top of his voice, the dog refused to let go of his hand on July 2.
The video showed him sitting with his hand inside the mouth of the Pitbull. Then a person came with a rod and hit the dog. Water was also thrown on the dog. Later, in a second video, the man was seen with his bloodied hand as he was taken to the hospital by a two-wheeler rider.
