Bihar Assembly Election: Ahead of the Bihar Assembly election, Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishor announced on Wednesday that he would not contest the assembly elections. He stated that this decision was taken in the party’s larger interest. Meanwhile, the political strategist-turned-politician has stirred Bihar politics by predicting a certain defeat for the NDA and the unlikely return of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to power.

According to a report, Prashant Kishor clarified that the party has decided that he should not contest the assembly elections. He said, “The party has decided that I will not contest the assembly elections. Therefore, the party has announced another candidate from Raghopur (Tejashwi Yadav’s seat).”

Kishore said that if he had contested the elections, his attention would have been diverted from the essential work of the organisation, hence this decision has been taken in the larger interest of the party.

Prashant Kishor made a bold claim about the electoral future of his party, Jan Suraj. He said that his party would either win a landslide victory or suffer a crushing defeat. He went on record as saying, “I expect less than 10 seats or more than 150 seats. There is no possibility of anything in between.”

Will NDA win? Kishor predicts…

Political strategist Prashant Kishor predicted a certain defeat for the ruling NDA. He stated that the NDA was on its way out of power due to the alliance’s failure to finalize seats and candidates, and that Nitish Kumar would not return as Chief Minister. Kishor said the picture has become even more bleak for the JDU. He recalled that in the last assembly elections, Nitish Kumar’s party’s numbers had dropped to 43 due to Chirag Paswan’s rebellion.
