FuturLab has officially announced PowerWash Simulator 2, the sequel to its hit cleaning sim. The game is set to launch in late 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Unlike the first game, which was published by Square Enix, FuturLab will be self-publishing this time. The original PowerWash Simulator became a massive success, attracting over 17 million players. It also edited high-profile DLC collaborations with Warhammer 40,000, Shrek, and SpongeBob SquarePants.

According to Dan Chequer, Design Director at FuturLab, the sequel will build on the original’s satisfying cleaning mechanics by adding new tools, features, and quality-of-life improvements. “

PowerWash Simulator 2 feels like a natural evolution from its predecessor,” he said. “We’re really excited to see players dust off their power washers and get stuck into this brand-new campaign.”

The game will take players back to Muckingham but will introduce fresh locations like Sponge Valley, Power Falls, and Lubri City. A new home-base feature will let players collect furniture and decorate their personal space after a long day of cleaning. One of the biggest new additions is split-screen co-op. It will allow two players to clean together on the same screen. Online multiplayer is also returning.
