Nitin Nabin, who is currently the PWD minister in the Nitish Kumar-led cabinet in Bihar, was on Sunday appointed as the BJP national working president.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hailed the appointment of five-time Bihar MLA Nitin Nabin as the BJP working president, noting that his organisational experience and dedication will strengthen the saffron party in the coming future.

Taking to X, PM Modi highlighted Nitin Nabin’s work as a “hardworking Karyakarta”, as well as his record as a multi-term MLA and Minister in Bihar.
“Shri Nitin Nabin Ji has distinguished himself as a hardworking Karyakarta. He is a young and industrious leader with rich organisational experience and has an impressive record as MLA as well as Minister in Bihar for multiple terms,” PM Modi wrote.
PM Modi said Nabin, who is known for his “humble nature”, has diligently worked to fulfil people’s aspirations, and will bring his energy and dedication to strengthen the BJP.
“He is known for his humble nature and grounded style of working. I am confident that his energy and dedication will strengthen our Party in the times to come. Congratulations to him on becoming the BJP National Working President,” the prime minister added.
Nitin Nabin appointed BJP national working president
Nitin Nabin, who is currently the PWD minister in the Nitish Kumar-led cabinet in Bihar, was on Sunday appointed as the BJP national working president by the party’s parliamentary board. Nabin, 45, who comes from the Kayasth caste, is likely to eventually succeed JP Nadda as the BJP’s national president.
“Bharatiya Janata Party’s parliamentary board has appointed Nitin Nabin, a minister in the Bihar government, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s national working president with immediate effect,” BJP national general secretary Arun Singh said in a notification.
Nabin, the son of late Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha, is a five-time MLA, who currently represents the Bankipur assembly constituency, has served twice as a minister in the Bihar Government.
