On Friday (6th February), an Islamic terrorist carried out a suicide bombing attack in a Shia mosque in Pakistan’s capital city of Islamabad.

As per initial reports, at least 10 people have been killed, while more than 80 others have been injured. On learning about the matter, police and rescue teams were dispatched to the blast site.

Reportedly, a state of emergency has been imposed in all hospitals in Islamabad.

According to ABN News, the suicide bomber was stopped from entering the mosque, following which he set off the bomb at the entrance of the religious site.

So far, no terrorist organisation has claimed responsibility for the attack.
