The Internet allows people more affordable and efficient access to basic amenities such as education, health care, public safety, and government services by: affording people opportunities to participate in online learning and distance education. The Speedtest Global Index data for November has revealed some shocking names. Major countries like the United States, Japan, India, and Germany are not included in the of list world’s top 10 list for this category. Five Asian countries feature in this list, with the top three positions held by Gulf nations. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) tops the list with a speed of 441.89 Mbps. Similarly, Qatar ranks second with a mobile internet speed of 358.27 Mbps, while Kuwait stands at third place with 263.59 Mbps.

Here are some of the key details:

  • The European country Bulgaria ranks fourth with a mobile internet speed of 172.49 Mbps.
  • Denmark holds the fifth position with a speed of 162.22 Mbps.
  • South Korea is sixth with 148.34 Mbps
  • Netherlands is in seventh place with 146.56 Mbps.
  • Norway stands eighth with 145.74 Mbps, China ninth with 139.58 Mbps, and Luxembourg tenth with 134.14 Mbps.
  • Following them are Singapore (127.75 Mbps), the United States (124.61 Mbps), Bahrain (118.36 Mbps), and Finland (114.45 Mbps).
  • Japan ranks 59th on the list with a mobile internet speed of 51.95 Mbps.
  • In Pakistan, the speed is 20.89 Mbps, placing it at 97th position,
  • Bangladesh stands at 88th position with a speed of 28.26 Mbps.

India ranks 25th on this list, with a mobile internet speed of 100.78 Mbps. However, in terms of fixed broadband, India’s position is worse than Nepal’s. India has a fixed broadband speed of 63.55 Mbps, ranking 91st, whereas Nepal has a speed of 70.94 Mbps, placing it at 87th.
