Navi Mumbai: Since the launch of the Leave Management System (LMS), 4,246 leave applications have been processed across various offices of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport Undertaking (NMMT), with all requests addressed promptly and no pending applications. The implementation of LMS, which began on February 3, has ensured a fully digital and efficient leave management process for both permanent and contractual employees, a statement released by NMMC, said.
This initiative is part of the Maharashtra Government’s 100-Day Action Plan, aimed at enhancing efficiency and transparency in government and semi-government offices. With LMS, employees can apply for leave anytime through a dedicated mobile application, while supervisors can approve requests instantly, reducing delays and improving workforce management.
The transition to a digital system has significantly streamlined operations. It has minimized paperwork, reduced administrative costs, and securely stored all leave records in digital format. Employees now have real-time access to their leave balance and attendance details, eliminating the need for physical visits to HR offices.
Furthermore, LMS provides accurate data on staff availability, enabling better workforce planning and allocation. The system has introduced greater transparency, eliminating discrepancies and ensuring a fair leave approval process.
By integrating LMS and the E-Office system, NMMT has taken a significant step toward modernizing its administrative processes, making governance more efficient, transparent, and employee-friendly.
