Mumbai: NMIMS Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering (MPSTME) has emerged as an institution of engineering studies in India since its establishment in 2006. The school has focused on academics and industry interactions through various initiatives.

Academic achievement and Industry collaboration

MPSTME has been accredited by ABET, showing its dedication to education and placing itself among institutions with recognition. The school has recorded placement figures, with the highest package being INR 1.22 Cr (International) and INR 30 LPA (Domestic).

“The future of engineering does not just reside in academics, but also in the power of being able to adjust to a changing world,” says Dr. Sharad Mhaiskar, Pro Vice Chancellor, NMIMS. MPSTME focuses on helping students build this skill and preparing them for industry demands.

MPSTME also offers an MBA-Tech with specialisations in Data Science as a combination of technology and management. It has also worked with universities like Virginia Tech, Stevens Institute of Technology, and Monash University.

Dr. Koteshwar Rao, Dean of MPSTME, added, “Innovation is part of engineering education. By using technologies such as AR/VR and 3D printing in our curriculum, we allow students to take part in the next stage of the tech world.”

Sustainable projects

MPSTME has introduced a four-year joint program with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), to develop engineers with abilities for the needs of the technology sector. The school is also engaged in sustainability projects, with students working on efforts that align with environmental goals.

Industry-ready labs and facilities

MPSTME has set up laboratories to help students address requirements of Industry 4.0. Some facilities include the Bosch Lab, 3D Printing and Laser Cutting Lab, and AR/VR Labs. These labs support direct use of engineering tools, production methods, and virtual and augmented reality work by students.
