Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, two major NDA constituent parties met to elect their legislative party leaders. Within an hour, all JDU MLAs unanimously elected Nitish Kumar as their leader.
Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar is slated to be Bihar Chief Minister again with his party electing him as its leader. However, with the BJP after the landslide victory in Bihar has a bigger bargaining chip this time. Will Chirag Paswan have a say? Will there be a 1-1 deputy Chief Minister formula? Only tomorrow will have the answer.
A meeting to elect the JDU legislative party leader began at CM Nitish Kumar’s residence on Ek Aney Marg. All 85 JDU MLAs were present. They unanimously elected Nitish Kumar as the legislative party leader. Even before this meeting, it was clear that only one name would be considered for the JDU legislative party leader: Nitish Kumar himself.
