The National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK (NISAU) and University Living, a marketplace that manages student housing, have teamed up to introduce the “Living Scholarship” for Indian students enrolled in UK universities. This project, which was unveiled at the India UK Education Conference in London, will provide ten exceptional Indian students with £12,000 in scholarships to help them cover their living expenses and make the adjustment to studying in the UK easier.
“Accommodation is the second-largest expense after tuition for students studying abroad, and we believe financial challenges should not be a barrier to achieving academic dreams,” said Saurabh Arora, founder and CEO of University Living, expressing his excitement for the effort.
NISAU has been fighting for the success and well-being of Indian students in the UK for many years. By tackling one of the financial obstacles students encounter in finding reasonably priced housing, University Living helps to further this goal. Their common goal of giving gifted Indian students the tools they require to succeed both academically and professionally is reflected in the Living Scholarship.
“NISAU has long worked to ensure Indian students in the UK are set up for success, and the ‘Living Scholarship’ is a vital step in reducing financial stress for them,” said Sanam Arora, Chairperson of NISAU UK, highlighting the importance of the partnership.
