Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The state has entered the New Year mode. Each year arrives with hopes of prosperity. This year’s hope lies in job market.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has promised to give one lakh jobs to youths who hope to get employment in government and private sectors. The government has also decided to celebrate 2025 as the Year of Industry. From the government’s decision to celebrate 2025 as a year of industry, it is evident that the state is going to pay special attention on industry.
The state government is going to hold Global Investors’ Summit in Bhopal next month. Before this, the regional investors’ conclaves were held. Efforts to set up industries should be apparent in government’s action. Employment and industry are closely connected. If industries are set up, the youths will get jobs in the state.
Because of this promise, the youths of the state are waiting for the New Year.
Govt buses again Work is going on to restart the government bus services, for which a proposal will be sent to the cabinet this year. The buses are going to start from Indore and Ujjain.
All eyes are set on the restarting government bus services which have been lying dormant for several years. To run the buses, companies will be set up in seven divisions. (box) Master plans for Bhopal, Indore It is expected that the long-awaited draft master plans for Bhopal and Indore will be issued this year. The government promised to issue draft master plans for both the cities in December.
Now, January has arrived, and people are waiting for it, so that both cities can be properly developed. The government has also assured that Bhopal and Indore will be made metropolitan cities. Plans are afoot to render the promise into reality.
Delimitation of divisions, dists expected
It is expected that delimitation of divisions and districts will start in 2025. On the basis of the report to be submitted by the delimitation commission, the government will delimit the districts afresh. It is expected that this work will start this year. The delimitation work will start in divisions, districts, Tehsils and blocks.
Metro train’s commercial run
The New Year is coming with the gift of Metro train to the city. Its first commercial operation will start in July. The first Metro train will run between Subhash Nagar Metro Depot to AIIMS. On the way, it will cover eight Metro stations. Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation has done all the necessary arrangements in this regard. Total 27 Metro trains are sanctioned for Bhopal and one of the five Metro trains has arrived.
Cheetahs in Gandhi Sagar sanctuary
About three to five cheetahs will be translocated to Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary situated across Mandsaur and Neemuch district. Their arrival will be a big achievement for Madhya Pradesh. After Kuno National Park, Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary will be the second one to have cheetahs.
Cruise from Statue of Oneness to Statue of Unity
The plan to run a cruise between the Statue of Unity and the Statue of Oneness may be completed this year. The Department has started building a cruise terminal at Meghnath Ghat (Kukshi). Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department will launch Textile Tourism in Maheshwar and Shilp Handloom Tourism in Unchehra of Satna and Bherugarh of Ujjain in association with Union Textile Ministry.
The department also plans to send a proposal to Sangeet Natak Academy for inclusion of Bhagoria tribal dance, Gond painting, Narmada Parikrama in UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage category. Celebrated sitar player Anushka Shankar will feature in a new TV commercial for promoting tourism in the state, which will be released in 2025.
