Notably, the NDA alliance won the Bihar Assembly election with a historic 202 mandate. The JDU and the saffron party secured performed way better that the 2020 polls. The BJP emerged as the single largest party by securing 89 assembly seats, followed by Nitish Kumar’s JDU that got 85 seats. other NDA alliances such as like the LJP(RV), HAM, and RLM performed well.

Nitish Kumar is expected to take oath as the Chief Minister of the state for the 10th time. NDA allies are also expected to major positions in the cabinet.

It is to be noted that the process to form the government has got momentum after the issuance of the notification for the 18th Bihar Assembly.

The Election Commission is going to brief Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan about the election results following which he will end the Model Code of Conduct.

Nitish Kumar has also announced that he will take the cabinet meeting on Monday. The major topic of the meeting would be dissolution of the outgoing 17th Assembly. After passing of the resolution, Nitish Kumar will meet the Bihar governor and submit his resignation letter, clearing the way for the new government formation.

In addition to PM Modi, many Union Ministers, Chief Ministers, and Deputy Chief Ministers from states ruled by the NDA, along with other prominent leaders from the alliance, are expected to participate in the event.

The NDA aims to showcase a strong political strength ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections.
