Mumbai: Amid the ongoing heatwave in Mumbai, the city is already feeling the intense summer heat. With temperatures soaring, residents are struggling to stay cool and hydrated. During this challenging time, a resident highlighted another pressing issue: the dirty water coming from taps.

A Mumbai resident highlighted the problem of dirty water in Kannamwar Nagar, Vikhroli, in a post shared on X by the user (@zoru75). The user mocked the BMC and said, “Very thoughtful, BMC.”

The post drew attention as the resident sarcastically called the contaminated water “Tea on Tap,” suggesting that people could just “heat and sip” it. This comment reflects the growing frustration among local residents about the poor quality of water and the lack of action by the BMC. However, despite the concern, there has been no response from the BMC or the authorities so far.

Here Is The X Post Shared By BMC

In an X post, the user mentioned, “Tea on tap just heat and sip. My BMC Thoughtful BMC”

Netizens React:

Many X users responded to the post, with some highlighting the serious issue of dirty water and saying Mumbai is “out of scope” for the BMC contractors. Others took a humorous approach, with one user jokingly calling the water “Bournvita.” Some comments also included a sarcastic remark: “Smart City Status Achieved. Next, Vada Pav.”

Mumbai Residents Can Now Test Drinking Water Samples at BMC’s Lab for Safety

On World Water Day, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced a water testing laboratory through a post on X. The initiative is designed to ensure that Mumbai residents have access to safe and clean drinking water. However, it remains crucial to verify that the water consumed daily is free from harmful contaminants.

To address this, the BMC provides a scientific analysis service where residents can have their tap water, storage tank water, and purifier water tested in the laboratory.
