Mumbai: The Mumbai Crime Branch has intensified efforts to bring back Anmol Bishnoi, the wanted mastermind in the Baba Siddique murder case and brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol, who was detained in Los Angeles, California, late last year, is now facing extradition proceedings initiated by Indian authorities.

According to sources, the Crime Branch has sent a formal proposal to U.S. authorities requesting Anmol’s extradition to India. This request will first be reviewed by the Maharashtra Home Department, which will then forward it to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. After approval, the Ministry of External Affairs will process the request and send it to the U.S. government. Officials are expediting the process to ensure Anmol’s swift extradition.

Anmol’s extradition prospects have gained momentum, especially after the U.S. recently approved the extradition of 26/11 accused Tahawwur Rana to India. Crime Branch officials are hopeful that a similar process will be followed in Anmol’s case.

Investigations have revealed that Anmol Bishnoi orchestrated the murder of NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) leader Baba Siddique. He maintained contact with all 28 accused involved in the conspiracy. Out of these, 26 have been arrested, while Zeeshan Akhtar and Shubham Lonkar remain absconding.

Additionally, Anmol played a key role in the firing incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in April last year. His name has surfaced in multiple organized crime cases, making his extradition a priority for Indian authorities.Baba Siddique Murder Case: Mumbai Crime Branch Pushes for Anmol Bishnoi’s Extradition from U.S.
