Raj Thackeray said that it is not right to have so many dance bars in the capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In this incident that took place on Saturday night, the workers vandalised the bar with sticks. They said that this bar used to remain open till late night. When did the incident happen? At around midnight on Saturday, MNS workers raided the ‘Night Rider’ bar in Panvel.

A pub close to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, operating late at night, was damaged by MNS members after severe remarks from Raj Thackeray, the MNS leader. During the annual festival of the Shetkari Kamgar Party, Thackeray commented on the concerning increase of dance bars in Raigad, referring to it as the capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

He noted that although Raigad has historical importance, it currently contains the greatest number of dance bars, primarily owned by Marathi people, whom he asserted are being taken advantage of.

Thackeray called on the public to recognize the negative impact of these establishments on Maharashtra. Shortly after his speech, supporters of MNS assaulted the dance bar in Panvel, highlighting the instant effect of Thackeray’s comments on local feelings
