Mira Road Cops Nab One For Ramming Scorpio Into Security Guards In Vinay Nagar Residential Complex; 2 Others Absconding |

Mira Road: The Kashigaon police have arrested one of the three men involved in a shocking incident where a Scorpio SUV was deliberately rammed into six security guards on Tuesday morning. The guards had simply asked the trio to provide their entry details at the society compound, which reportedly enraged the occupants.

According to the police, the driver of the SUV reversed and then drove forward multiple times, injuring three security guards. The trio was also heard hurling abuses at the guards during the attack.

Following the incident, the assailants fled the scene with the vehicle used in the crime. The police immediately formed multiple teams to track them down. Using technical surveillance and intelligence inputs, they managed to arrest one of the accused, identified as 28-year-old Kaustubh Bhoigade, from Dahisar on Wednesday.

Bhoigade does odd jobs for a living. The remaining two suspects, Kashish Gupta and Akshit Gupta, are still at large, reported Times of India. All three have been charged with attempt to murder and under provisions of the Arms Act.

Viral Video Shows Scorpio Rammed Into Security Guards

A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the disturbing sequence of events. The footage, captured at the J.P North residential-cum-commercial complex in Vinay Nagar, Kashimira, depicts an apparently intoxicated driver ramming his Scorpio SUV into private security guards. The incident occurred around 7 am on Tuesday when the vehicle, with three occupants, attempted to enter the North Barcelona building.

When the on-duty security guards asked the occupants to provide a flat number and register their details in the visitor’s book, the situation quickly escalated. The driver, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, not only verbally abused the guards but also brandished a country-made pistol. He then drove the vehicle into six people, including three security guards. Fortunately, all the victims escaped with minor injuries.

The video also captured the driver crashing into the building’s gate while shouting, “Hat Jao Nahi to Zila Ghaziabad Dikha Denge,” a threatening reference to the violent portrayal in the movie ‘Zila Ghaziabad’. The police are now intensifying efforts to locate the remaining two accused.
