Renting a flat in India is a tedious process but what more difficult is if you are a bachelorette or a student. Most often landlords or neighbours don’t intend to rent out their flats to unmarried or students. The female student rented out a 3BHK flat in Gandhinagar along with 2 more girls. They also confirmed on the bachelorette policy of the society to avoid any disputes later on which the broker ensured them and said that he will manage. They paid brokerage and moved their belongings into the flat.

The user has penned down his frustration in the post, wrote, “This is not just disappointing, it’s discriminatory. Now all the moving costs are on us and we have to do it a second time and also have to find a new place just before college starts. Why should young adults be it students or working be denied a place to live after everything is finalized just because of outdated societal biases?”

The user also gave update on the dispute, in today, July 6 update the user said that the landlord has thretened his sister to move out her things out the next day or else he will have it thrown out.
