Meerut Female YouTubers Arrested For Spreading Fake Rumours Of Drone Thieves At Midnight | X @Pankaj
Meerut, Uttar Pradesh: Two female YouTubers from Meerut got arrested for allegedly spreading fake rumours of a drone thieves’ attack in the local area at midnight. The police reported that both YouTubers were spreading fake rumours to gain social media traction and to increase followers. Both of them were arrested and soon released on bail after police issued a summons. Many such drone theft incidents are sparking in Uttar Pradesh, with this being the third arrest in a week.
Two female YouTubers, identified as Laiba Mantasha and Meenakshi Singh, were detained by Meerut police. They were accused of spreading fake rumours of drone thieves’ activity in the local areas at midnight, raising safety and security concerns and sparking panic among locals. The video of one of the YouTubers is going viral on social media, in which she can be seen urging her followers to stay alert, while pretending to follow the thief and also claims to catch the drones in the meantime.

Meerut Police posted about another arrest on X. The post reads, “The accused spreading misleading information/rumors by flying a drone has been arrested by the TP Nagar police station.”

A strange conspiracy has been exposed in the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The Kakaroli police station of the district arrested two youths on Tuesday night, who were using pegions to spread terror among locals. Two accused, identified as Shoaib and Shakibm, used to tie LED lights to the legs and neck of pigeons and fly them in the dark.
