Mumbai: Six people were arrested on Sunday for allegedly stabbing a 25-year-old man to death over an old dispute in the Prem Nagar area of Vile Parle, according to reports quoting Juhu police. The victim, Gaus Iklaq Patel, was attacked by nine individuals, who stabbed him with a sharp object and assaulted him with a bamboo stick. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Patel was declared dead on arrival.

Patel reportedly had an altercation with the accused a few days earlier. On Saturday, he, along with his brother and friends, went to meet them in an attempt to resolve the matter. However, the discussion quickly escalated into a violent clash, during which Patel was fatally stabbed. According to an Indian Express report, six suspects have been arrested, while three others remain on the run and police are actively searching for them.

Dombivli Man Booked For Stabbing Minor

In another violent incident, a 20-year-old man in Dombivli was booked for stabbing a 17-year-old boy after a Holi water balloon landed on him by mistake. The accused, identified as Prayan Jadhav, resides in Yashwant Complex in the Sagaon area. The altercation occurred on March 13 at around 8:30 pm when Harsh Kamble was playing Holi with his friends in the building complex. Kamble threw a balloon filled with coloured water, which accidentally hit Jadhav, drenching him.

Angered by the incident, Jadhav confronted Kamble, leading to a heated argument. He then dragged Kamble to a secluded area and in a fit of rage, stabbed him in the hand with a sharp weapon before fleeing the scene. Kamble suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital by his friends and their parents.

Following the attack, Manpada police registered an FIR against Jadhav under sections 118(1), 115(2), 352, and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to locate and apprehend the accused.
