CM Yogi Adityanath guided 23 trainee officers to maintain law and order in the state.
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, on Monday, had a meeting with 23 IPS (Indian Police Service) trainees from the batches of 2023 and 2024. In the meeting, he states that the state’s top priority is to maintain law and order and have zero tolerance. He further stressed having great knowledge about the overall functioning and administration of the police services.
What did CM advise?
The Chief Minister advised the trainee IPS officers to comprehend their responsibilities along with whatever challenges they offer.
He added, “When dealing with public representatives, interactions must be dignified and responsible. A casual approach does not suit police officers. Since public representatives reflect the voice of the people, constructive engagement with them supports stronger law and order.”

The official statement stated, “In a formal interaction with 23 trainee officers on Monday, the CM noted that a large and diverse state like Uttar Pradesh presents unique policing challenges. He urged them to treat their training period as a golden opportunity to learn, observe and build a strong professional foundation. District training must focus on acquiring the ability to address real-life issues swiftly and satisfactorily. As first responders, the police carry the responsibility of earning the victim’s trust through their promptness, conduct and priorities.”
‘Backbone of policing’
CM Yogi directed the trainee officers to have sound knowledge about the functionality and administration of their service. He used the term “backbone of policing” for the police station. He further added that the strongest tool for any civil services officer is the human intellect.
