Madhya Pradesh Police Recovers 114 Mobile Phones, Return Them To Owners In Ujjain During Baba Mahakal’s Sawari | FP Photo
Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): The police have returned as many as 114 recovered mobile phones to their owners. Thousands of devotees visit Ujjain during Baba Mahakal’s sawari.
Excessive crowds translate into phone thefts and also incidents of mobile phones falling amid the rush. Taking note, the Ujjain Police started efforts at both technical and traditional levels to recover lost or stolen mobile phones.
During the fourth sawari of Baba Mahakal, the personnel collected the mobiles falling in the crowd. A total of 25 mobile phones were recovered by the Mahakal police station from various places and returned to the mobile owners after necessary documentary verification.
Further, Dewasgate police station, with the help of the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, adopted the process of tracing lost mobiles. A total of 17 mobile phones were traced through the portal and handed over to the respective owners.
A special search campaign was conducted in the Jiwajiganj police station area on the basis of investigation and tip-offs in the recent past. Under the campaign, a total of 39 stolen mobile phones were recovered. All the mobiles were handed over to their real owners after identification and documentary verification.
