Madhya Pradesh accident: Tragedy struck in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district on early Sunday morning when a car crashed into a tree in Dharanwada area, leaving two people dead, and injuring six others.

According to the police, the accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday near Bhulae in the Dharanwada area of Guna district, when the victims were returning after attending a cultural event.

“The accident took place when a group of people were returning after attending a cultural programme in the Bhulae village on Saturday night. The driver of the car carrying them lost control of the steering wheel, and the vehicle crashed into a tree,” said Dharnawada police station in-charge Prabhat Katare.

Katare said two people were killed in the mishap and six sustained injuries, adding that four of the injured persons have been admitted to the district hospital and two to a private hospital.

Police said the deceased victims have been identified as Lal Singh Lodha (35) and Maya Bai Bijori (40), and their bodies have been handed to their respective families after the post-mortem.

A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is underway, they added.
